Into the Home Stretch - New Stretch Goal Revealed!

Hi Everyone,

It's been a great campaign so far and now we're entering the home stretch! We're very close to unlocking the 5th stretch goal at $10,000 and as an added incentive to keep pushing beyond that, I've added a 6th stretch goal to be unlocked at $11,000 - A 5x7" postcard by Chuck Pires!

Some of you may be familiar with the art of Chuck Pires. I'm a huge fan of his work and I've been following him for a while now on Instagram (@chuckartt). His specialty is doing commissions of comic characters in a slick digitally-painted style with a slightly animated look. When I realized that we may exceed our original stretch goals, I decided to ask Chuck to do an illustration of Deborah Daring and to my pleasant surprise, he accepted!  He just started on it a couple of days ago, so I don't have anything to show you yet. However, I thought I would show a modified-piece of his previous work as a 'Teazer' for the new stretch goal, which you can see above. I can't wait to see his final piece!

Hooray! We just exceeded 200 backers AND unlocked the 3rd stretch goal! Thanks to your generous pledges we're on our way to unlocking the 4th stretch goal!

I've been waiting for the appropriate milestone to announce some BIG NEWS! Back by popular demand, Deb's nemesis, DANUTA, will be back in issue 7!

In the spirit of cross-promotion, I'd like to tell you about another cool graphic novel. Amiculus: A Secret History Omnibus, by Tavis Horseman. The last emperor of the Western Roman Empire, a 12-year-old boy named Romulus, was deposed by barbarian conquerors and disappeared from history. Stretch Goal #2 Unlocked! Going for #3!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to your generous pledges, we just unlocked our second stretch goal! Now we're going for stretch goal #3: An exclusive pinup by the issue 7 art team of Hakan Aydin and Sean Callahan. With your continued support and promotion on social media, I'm sure we'll get there soon!

First Stretch Goal Unlocked!

Yay! Just unlocked the first stretch goal, thanks in large part to a monster pledge for the original illustration of the variant cover by Randy Green. We've got plenty more stretch goals to unlock, so keep spreading the word about this campaign. 

Up next, is the $7,000 CAD Stretch Goal, which features a cool digital wallpaper for your monitor. This explosive action scene is from the opening sequence to issue 7. When I wrote the script for this scene, I wanted  an eye-popping sequence that really grabs the readers attention, similar to  some of Trinity's action sequences in The Matrix Reloaded. (One of my favorite movies!) I gotta say, I'm very pleased with how Hakan brought this scene to life!

Fully Funded! Bring on the Stretch Goals!

WE DID IT! Thanks to your generous pledges we're now fully funded. It only took one week, so we have lots of time to unlock the full roster of great stretch goals. Keep spreading the word and I'm sure we can unlock 'em all in no time!
