Surveys are Coming & Add-on Store is Open!

Hi Everyone!

Surveys will be sent out tonight and tomorrow. Fulfillment of all pledges is being managed through Backerkit, so keep an eye out for the survey emails and check your Junk folder if you don't see it in your Inbox within a couple days. YOU MUST COMPLETE A SURVEY TO RECEIVE YOUR REWARDS, so don't ignore this email. The deadline for processing orders is April 23rd, so make sure to submit your survey before then. 

As part of the survey process, you will be given the opportunity to select the add-ons you pledged for and purchase new ones as well. I've added some great new merchandise to the Backerkit add-on store, including t-shirts and hoodies! 

I'll be submitting the final order to my printer on April 26th, and they will start mailing out the rewards packages in mid May. Some orders (like t-shirts) will be mailed separately, and I'm aiming to have everything shipped by May 31st. Please message me through Kickstarter if you have a problem selecting an add-on that you pledged for or just have a general question.

Art Complete! Backerkit Surveys Coming Soon.

Hi Everyone,

Great news! All the art is finally complete! Admittedly, there have been some delays, and I apologize for the long gap between updates. However, I'm still on track to ship your packages in April. I'm waiting to receive a quote from my printer for shipping services and will send you all a confirmation update once I've received it. I'll also be building the Backerkit post-campaign site over the coming weeks and surveys should be sent out in early March. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

Progress Update & Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone has been able to enjoy their Christmas holidays, despite all the COVID lockdowns. I just wanted to give you a quick progress update. Hakan has almost finished the line art for the graphic novella, with only 3 more pages to go! Sean has committed to getting the coloring completed by the end of January, so we're still on track to ship the rewards by April. In the meantime, I thought I'd share one of the latest pages. (Spoiler Alert!)

Progress Update #1

Hi Everyone,

I know it's been a while since my last posting, so I wanted to give you all a progress update. The line art for the book is currently scheduled to be compete by Dec 31st. Hakan had to take a hiatus for a while, but he is back on the job and kicking ass again! Sean will be finishing the colors by the end of January and I will complete the lettering and pre-press design shortly after that. If all goes according to plan, I should be able to send the book to the printer by the end of February. That means that I should receive the printed books and rewards by the end of March and have everything shipped out at some point in April. I know this is a little later than expected, but I thank you for your patience and it will be worth the wait!

In the meantime, I have some great news! As an added bonus to this graphic novella, I dug into the vault and will be republishing an 8-page backup story that was drawn by Marvel Comics vet, Dario Carrasco, back in 2016! His pages have a gritty Crime Noir feel and have been masterfully recolored by Vigilante Comix vet, Natalia Nesterenko. Here's a sneak peek at the first few pages.

I'm planning to offer some additional merchandise in the Backerkit online store that will be coming soon. (More updates on that later.) One of the cool new things that will be available is a graphic t-shirt, featuring a Kick-ass design by Chuck Pires.

Going for Stretch Goal #6 with 17 Hrs to Go!

YAHOO!! Thanks to all your generous support, we just surpassed $10,000 and unlocked the 5th stretch goal! Now we have 17 hours left to go and a decent chance of unlocking the 6th stretch goal:  5x7" full-color postcard, featuring a custom Deborah Daring illustration by Instagram star-artist, Chuck Pires. Chuck is diligently working to complete this color illustration ASAP, but in the meantime I can share his final penciled drawing for the postcard.

With your continued support and social media promotion, I'm hoping we can unlock this fabulous stretch goal!
